PRACTICING WHAT WE PREACH: Tikkun Olam & The 2008 Election
Looking at a series of texts from the Talmud and from Luranic Kaballah, Margie Klein, co-editor of Righteous Indignation: A Jewish Call for Justice will help our community explore the original meanings of Tikkun Olam and how they might guide our work. Arguing for a framework that includes both community service and work for systemic change, Margie will lead an interactive workshop to explore how the Seattle Jewish community can engage in the 2008 election through non-partisan voter registration, education, and media work.
